The location of the village of Arhiljevica is unclear. It might be located in Pre\u0161evo (now Serbia) or in the \u010cr\u044cna Gora in the triangle of the places Belanovce, Domanovci and Izvor. \u010cr\u044cna Gora (v\u044c \u010cr\u044cnoi Gori) is mentioned in the Vita of the Serbian Emperor Stefan Uro\u0161 V (reigned 1355-1371) written by the Serbian Patriarch Pajsije. It reports that Stefan Uro\u0161 V and his mother Jelena completed the Church of Sveta Bogorodica \u010cr\u044cnogorska after the death of the Serbian Emperor Stefan Du\u0161an. A Church of the Holy Mother of God in \u010cr\u044cna Gora above \u017degligovo is attested in the Serbian genealogies (rodoslovi) and annals (u \u010cr\u044cm\u044cnyje Gory, vy\u0161e \u017degligova; eius vero mater aedificavit Ecclesiam in Nigro Monte, supra Segligovo). This church is probably identical with the aforesaid Sveta Bogorodica \u010cr\u044cnogorska. The Ottoman Sultan Murad I (reigned 1360-1389) might have crossed the \u010cr\u044cna Gora on his march against the Serbian Prince Lazar Hrebeljanovi\u0107 before the battle on the Kosovo Polje (Kosovo Field) in 1389. In 1409 Evdokija Bal\u0161i\u0107 commissioned the monk Gerasim in the Monastery of Sveta Bogorodica \u010cr\u044cnogorska in \u010cr\u044cna Gora near Skopje to write the manuscript of the Dialogues (Paterik) by Gregory the Great. In the spring and summer of 1413 the two Ottoman pretenders to the throne Mehmed and Musa fought for supremacy on the Balkan Peninsula. Mehmed was supported by the Serbian Despot Stefan Lazarevi\u0107 (reigned 1389-1427). In the course of the military operations, Musa initially stayed in the Ov\u010de Pole (in the Ragusan sources called Ovcepogle). Then, Mehmed and Stefan Lazarevi\u0107 crossed together with their troops the \u010cr\u044cna Gora (Pr\u011b\u0161\u044cd\u044c\u0161e \u017ee \u010cr\u044cmnu Goru) and reached the Ov\u010de Pole (k\u044c Ov\u044c\u010dju polju), where Djuradj Brankovi\u0107 (reigned 1427-1456), Stefan's nephew, took command over the Serbian forces. The scribe Vladislav Gramatik resided between 1457 and 1497 in the Monastery of Sveta Bogorodica \u010cr\u044cnogorska. In 1479 he compiled a liturgical book (panegyrikon) in the Monastery at the foot of the \u010cr\u044cna Gora in the region of \u017degligovo (v\u044a podkrilii \u010cr\u044anye gory). The \u010cr\u044cna Gora is mentioned in the colophones of Vladislav Gramatik and Dimitrij Kantakuzin from the years 1469 (v\u044c v\u044cse\u010d\u044cstn\u011bm\u044c monastiri pr\u011bsvet\u044cje bogorodice su\u0161tee i\u017ee v\u044c podkrilii \u010cr\u044cn\u044cje Gory) and 1473 (v\u044c v\u044cse\u010d\u044cstn\u011bm\u044c monastiri pr\u011bsvet\u044cje vladi\u010dice na\u0161e bogorodice i prisnod\u011bvi Marie, su\u0161tee i\u017ee v\u044c podkrilii \u010cr\u044cn\u044cje Gory, v pr\u011bd\u011bl\u011b \u017degligovc\u011bm). In 1519 a hierodeacon named Mina wrote a triodion for the Church of the Presentation of the Holy Mother of God in Klustobista in the solitude of Vune\u0161\u044c at the foot of the \u010cr\u044cna Gora (poduvesie \u010cr\u044anie Gory v\u044a pustynju naricemuju Vune\u0161\u044a).
