Sp\u00e4t- u. nachbyz. Name Porto Germeno.\r\n\r\nMon.: An der Stadtmauer der antiken Siedlung, deren Reste sich von der Akropolis bis zur K\u00fcste herab verfolgen lassen (s. Eckbastion), Spuren einer f\u00fcnfschifflgen Basilika des fr\u00fchen 6. Jh. mit au\u00dfen halbrunder Apsis; an das fast quadratische Langhaus war lediglich ein schmaler Narthex angesetzt. Ein s. quadratischer Anbau diente als Baptisterium, wie das erhaltene Marmortaufbecken zeigt. Die Fu\u00dfb\u00f6den von Mittelschiff, Narthex und Baptisterium waren mit Mosaiken verziert. \u00dcber der Basilika wurde vielleicht im sp\u00e4ten 10. Jh. unter Wiederverwendung eines Teiles ihrer Mauerz\u00fcge ein Kloster errichtet, dessen kleines Katholikon, eine kreuzf\u00f6rmige Dreikonchenkirche mit Kuppel, sich im \u00f6.
