Jh. ?) zur\u00fcckgeht, das Kl. der Theotokos Dupian\u0113 dem Bischof von Stagoi unterstellt. Dieses spielte schon 1341 eine f\u00fchrende Rolle im Gebiet der sp\u00e4teren Mete\u014dra-Kl\u00f6ster, da damals die M\u00f6nche um den hl. Gr\u0113gorios am Stylos bei Stagoi Abgaben ans das Dupian\u0113-Kl. zu entrichten hatten. Vermutlich stand schon vor der Errichtung des Kl. in einer H\u00f6hle auf der Westseite des Dupian\u0113-Felsens eine Theotokos-Kirche am Fu\u00dfe dieses Felsens (\u2192 Mon). Sie diente wohl dem Kl. als Katholikon und wurde sp\u00e4ter zum Pr\u014dtaton eines unter der F\u00fchrung des Theotokos Dupian\u0113-Kl. sich entwickelnden Klosterverbandes, der sogenannte \u03c3\u03ba\u03ae\u03c4\u03b7 \u03c4\u03c9\u0342\u03bd \u03a3\u03c4\u03b1\u03b3\u03c9\u0342\u03bd. In der Folgezeit daher der Abt des Dupian\u0113-Kl. auch Pr\u014dtos der Sk\u0113t\u0113 von Stagoi; erster bekannter Pr\u014dtos der Sk\u0113t\u0113 scheint ein Makarios gewesen zu sein, der um 1350 die Gegend von Stagoi wieder verlie\u00df. 1362 der Sk\u0113t\u0113 unter dem Pr\u014dtos Neilos die Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit von den serbischen Machthabern in Thessalien sowie verschiedene Besitzungen von Syme\u014dn Uro\u0161 zugesichert. Zum Schutz vor R\u00e4ubern in der Umgebung des Dupian\u0113-Felsens von Neilos vier Kirchen in H\u00f6hlen gebaut. Eine dieser Kirchen, das Katholikon des verlassenen \u2192 Hypapant\u0113-Kl., noch erhalten; ihre Gr\u00fcndung durch Neilos 1366/67 bezeugt eine Inschrift im Inneren der Kirche. 1372 best\u00e4tigte Johannes Uro\u0161 in zwei Prostagmata die Besitzungen der Sk\u0113t\u0113. Von Neilos oder seinem Nachfolger Neophytos auf der Nordseite des Dupian\u0113-Felsens das Pantokrat\u014dr-Kl. errichtet, welches Neophytos testamentarisch dem \u2192 Mete\u014dron-Kl. auf dem Platylithos oberhalb von Dupian\u0113. \u2014 In den Verband der Sk\u0113t\u0113 von Stagoi geh\u00f6rten auch die heute nicht mehr existenten Kl\u00f6ster H. D\u0113m\u0113trios, des Theost\u0113riktos und die \u03bc\u03bf\u03bd\u1f74 \u039a\u03bf\u03c6\u03b7\u03bd\u03af\u03c9\u03bd, ferner die H\u00f6hle des Kyrillos \u1f10\u03bd \u03c4\u1fc6 \u03c4\u03bf\u03c0\u03bf\u03b8\u03b5\u03c3\u03af\u03b1 \u03c4\u1fc6\u03c2 \u039c\u03b7\u03c7\u03ac\u03bd\u03b7\u03c2, die H\u00f6hle von P\u0113gadi und das Kellion Petra. Im Zusammenhang mit den Besitzungen urkundlich noch folgende Toponyme erw\u00e4hnt: Baba, (\u03c0\u03ad\u03c4\u03c1\u03b1) \u03c4\u03bf\u1fe6 \u0394\u03c1\u03ac\u03b3\u03b1 \u03a0\u03c1\u03b5\u03ba\u03bf\u03bd\u03af\u03c4\u03b6\u03b1, Skala, Skaphidakia, \u03a6\u03c9\u03bb\u03ad\u03b1 \u03c4\u03bf\u1fe6 \u03a4\u03c5\u03c0\u03cc\u03c2. Der Name Dupian\u0113 slawisch.\r\nMon.: Freskenreste im Inneren der 1861 restaurierten kleinen Z\u014dodochos P\u0113g\u0113-Kirche, am w. Fu\u00df des Dupian\u0113-Felssens legen eine Gleichsetzung mit der Theotokos Dupian\u0113-Kirche, dem Pr\u014dtaton der Sk\u0113t\u0113 von Stagoi, nahe; Grundmauern von Anbauten w. n. u. s. der
