In der Folgezeit als Seer\u00e4ubernest ber\u00fcchtigt; 1307 kurzer Aufenthalt Muntaners (illa de Spoll), um 1333 Landung der Flotte Umur Pa\u0161a\u2018s bei der ersten Unternehmung gegen Thessalien (Iskebolos). Wohl gleichzeitig mit der Eroberung Thessaliens 1393 von den T\u00fcrken besetzt, doch nach der Schlacht bei Ankara 1403 R\u00fcckgabe an die Byzantiner; 1439 Verproviantierung der kaiserlichen Flotte auf der R\u00fcckkehr vom Unionskonzil 20.Nach dem Fall von Kpl. \u00fcbernahmen 1454 auf Wunsch der Einwohner die Venezianer die Herrschaft; im 15. Rektors. \u2014 Von den zahlreichen, meist schon t\u00fcrkenzeitlichen Kirchen u. Kl\u00f6stern (vgl. Verzeichnis von Daponte) hervorzuheben das Kl. H. Barbara, etwa 3 km \u00f6. der Stadt: Umgeben von festungsartigem Peribolos mit innen angesetzten t\u00fcrkenzeitlichen Kellia das Katholikon, eine Kreuzkuppelkirche mit drei stark hervortretenden f\u00fcnfseitigen Apsiden, Prothesis u.
