Im Privileg f\u00fcr die Venezianer 1198 erscheitn das chartularatum Ezeros. Nach 1204 Ezeros latein. Bistum unter dem Erzbischof von \u2192 Larisa, der aber den ersten gew\u00e4hlten Bischof von Ezeros, den Nazorescensis (Nazarescensis) electus nicht zum Bischof weihte; dieser auch Teilnehmer am 2. Parlament von \u2192 Ravenica (1210). 1212 von Innozenz III. die Bischofsagenden von Ezeros dem Bischof von Z\u0113tunion (Sidoniensis episcopus) \u00fcbertragen, da Ezeros keinen Bischof hatte (pastorali sollicitudine destitutus). Doch schon 1213 Ezeros dem Bischof von Z\u0113tunion wieder entzogen, da er es ma\u00dflos ausgebeutet hatte. Die Nachricht \u00fcber die Vereinigung der Bist\u00fcmer von Z\u0113tunion und Ezeros schlie\u00dft die Lokalisierung von Ezeros bei Nezero (heute Kallipeuk\u0113) am alten Askoris-See etwa 38 km n. von Larisa aus, da dieses viel zu weit von Z\u0113tunion entfernt ist. Dagegen die Lokalisierung beim antiken Xyniai (nur 21 km von Z\u0113tunion entfernt) als gesichert anzusehen. Der alte Name Ezeros (Ozeros) vor kurzem noch Bezeichnung f\u00fcr das heutige H. Stephanos unweit s. der antiken Akropolis. Aus dem Jahre 1250 ein Bischof Johannes X\u0113ros von Ezeros bekannt, der nach Naupaktos versetzt und dort Metropolit wurde. 1371 begegnet Ezeros (\u1f1c\u03b6\u03b5\u03c1) nochmals als Suffragan von Larisa.\r\nMon.: Auf der antiken Akropolis von Xyniai Reste einer ma. Burg. Die Lage des Donjons am Gipfel noch erkennbar; Reste der Umfassungsmauer erhalten; sie ist z.
