Als Iberrichesdorf wurde der Ort 1120 erstmals urkundlich erw\u00e4hnt, benannt nach einem Mann namens Iberrich.\r\nEin Geschlecht der Ebreichsdorfer ist f\u00fcr das 13. Jahrhundert nachweisbar. Anfang des 14. Jahrhunderts besa\u00dfen die Herren von Werde die Feste Ebreichsdorf, gegen Ende des 14. Jahrhunderts waren die Herren von Wallsee-Drosendorf die Eigent\u00fcmer des herzoglichen Lehens Ebreichsdorf, 1400 wechselte dieser Besitz an die Familie Wallsee-Enns. Herrschaft und Schloss Ebreichsdorf erwarb im Jahr 1572 Hieronymus Freiherr von Beck und Leopoldsdorf. 1639 ging die Herrschaft Ebreichsdorf samt dem Schloss an Daniel Moser \u00fcber, B\u00fcrgermeister von Wien.\r\nIm 18. Jahrhundert etablierte sich in Ebreichsdorf ein erster Industriebetrieb, eine Tuchfabrik wurde gegr\u00fcndet, 1770 wurde diese in die Zitz- und Cottonfabrik der orientalischen Kompanie und schlie\u00dflich nach 1773 in die Cottonfabrik J. Lang umgewandelt. 1837 wurde Ebreichsdorf als Standort f\u00fcr eine Baumwollspinnerei gew\u00e4hlt. Mit dem Decret des nieder\u00f6sterreichischen Landeschefs vom 7. Juli 1849 \u00fcber die Durchf\u00fchrung der Gerichtsorganisation wurde der Gerichtsbezirk Ebreichsdorf eingerichtet. Der Gerichtsbezirk wurde mit 1. J\u00e4nner 2013 aufgel\u00f6st und dem Gerichtsbezirk Baden zugewiesen. \r\nSeit 1912 ist Ebreichsdorf Markt. Mit Bescheid vom 30. August 2001 verlieh die Nieder\u00f6sterreichische Landesregierung der Stadtgemeinde ein Wappen: In Blau unter einem \u00fcber zwei Webspulen laufenden silbernen schwarzgestreiften Band im Schildhaupt ein silbernes Wasserrad, die waagrechten Speichen durch silberne Leisten bis zum Schildrand verl\u00e4ngert, aus den Leisten wachsend rechts drei goldene Schilfrohre, links drei goldene \u00c4hren, im Schildfu\u00df zwei linksgewendete silberne Fische.
